How to read this chart
- Each row is a preset. Protein scales with body weight, fat is a share of energy, and carbohydrate takes the remainder.
- The carbohydrate column moves most, because it absorbs whatever protein and fat leave behind.
- No preset drops fat below 20 per cent of energy, the lower bound of the Institute of Medicine range.
